SCAT Strategic Planning

As part of SCAT’s on-going commitment to delivering a meaningful service to our members we are embarking upon a strategic planning exercise during 2010.

A strategic plan will help define our future core business and aspirations, refine our goals and make a difference to how SCAT runs into the future.

SCAT is now in the process of writing the strategic plan based on the recent planning weekend work (see August 2010 newsletter) and the stakeholder workshops that were held in both Hobart and 7 Mile Beach. We will release the draft plan to our members for review in the coming months and are aiming to launch the plan during Coastcare week in December 2010.

For further information about the strategic process please contact James Burke at 0447 003 540 or  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

SCAT AGM

The Southern Coastcare Association of Tasmania Inc (SCAT) will be holding its AGM

1pm – 3pm
Saturday 4th September
Training Room, Visitors Centre, Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

Lunch will be provided, so please rsvp for catering purposes by August 30th to James Burke at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 0447 003 540

As well as ‘normal’ AGM business SCAT will be launching its exciting new look website.

We really do hope that you will be able to make it along. Everyone is welcome (including families). It is especially important to attend if your group is a member of SCAT – if you can’t make it, perhaps you can ask another member of your group who may be able to act as a representative.

Have your say into SCAT business for 2010/2011,

catch up with other Coastcarer’s,

enjoy lunch in a lovely setting.
